£149 Midweek (Apr-Sep)
£159 Weekends/Bank Holidays/Winter Midweek (Oct/Nov)Tune-Up clinics are half-day bespoke lessons with no pre-set format, specifically tailored to each persons needs. A small maximum group size of 4 people ensures lots of individual attention and feedback coupled with video review during breaks. Unlike our full day Development clinics that have a set monthly theme these "private-lessons-in-parallel" sessions are less structured, everyone skis at their own pace with the coach setting specific individual drills and exercises appropriate to each persons skills level and what you wish to work on.
These courses are on hold until the Covid restrictions are over.
Who are they for?For skiers who range from confident level 6 to 10 on our ability scale. If you are a L4/5 or an L6 skier who lacks a bit of confidence check out our Improver Clinics.
Typical Tune-Up clinicThe clinic is composed of two skiing sessions with your coach and includes an all day lift pass allowing you a few hours of optional individual practice time after lunch to help you to consolidate the days learning. The day is broken up with coffee and lunch breaks, taken in the comfortable cafe overlooking the slope. Video feedback is given during these breaks, ensuring you have a good mental image of what you do well and what you need to change. Afterwards we upload your footage to a personalised folder in our online video library so you can review it at you leisure and track your progress.
We start the day with some warm up runs and then have a discussion to see what everyone wants to work on and go from there. With a such a small group size we can handle a wide range of abilities and being in an indoor snow dome can keep it fun and active by running laps. No need to worry about getting bored, being left behind, holding up the group or getting frustrated if the pace isn't quick enough for you!
These clinics are ideal for groups of friends, families and like minded skiers to get some coaching even if you don't all need to work on the same thing, or, are at differing levels. After the formal coaching sessions are finished having practice runs is when the "magic' happens and you tend to cement the days learning. Besides, a bit of bonus free skiing in the afternoon is always fun !

Minimum NumbersShould a Tune-Up clinic have only one person booked on it we will run the course as an extended private session consisting of a 90 minute session on the slope followed by video review and optional practice time on your own afterwards. We find that with only one person two full 90 minute coaching sessions is too intense and counterproductive. Your slope pass will be remain valid for four hours and you can use the remaining time to practice and consolidate the mornings coaching on your own.

"I thoroughly enjoyed the session and I felt like it made a dramatic difference to my skiing." (Chris F. ) Nov 2018
"I thought the new format worked really well. It was close to a private lesson but with extra time and extra video feedback, being able to practice, see, practice see was very helpful. How you kept track of what you set us I don't know but you managed to keep us on point and working on the area you thought we needed to." (Dave F.) Nov 2018
"At the end of our sessions I realised I felt alive and happy in a way that I used to feel when skiing but which has been largely missing for about 8 months after a crisis of confidence." (Liz R.) Nov 2018
"Just wanted to drop you a line to thank you for the great lesson I had with you at Hemel, thanks to you I had a fantastic time in Val D'Isere and the technique fell into place perfectly. As the week progressed I worked on all of the stuff that you taught me and slowly but surely it started to work and by the end of the week I was up on the top of the Tignes glacier tackling the wonderful red off the top and skiing from edge to edge and feeling in perfect control. Rest assured I shall be having some lessons later this year to ensure that my next trip is even better." (Simon S.)
"My daughter and I came down from Manchester for a Tune-Up session with Inside Out Skiing on Saturday and had a really great day. If you are thinking of having a warm up in a snowdome before your holiday then have a look at this. Rob is an excellent teacher and has you working on specific drills rather than just bashing down in 10 seconds. He even talks you through video footage of yourself in the breaks." (Mike A.)
"I can thoroughly recommend InsideOutskiing as an alternative way to learn." (Simon)
"What an eye-opener on how to teach skiing. The passion these guys show for their skiing is incredible, they have a way to uncover your weaknesses and give you the necessary "Tools/Drills" to demonstrate that weakness allowing you to correct/practice." (Terry)
